I took my wife’s car for the yearly mandatory vehicle Inspection on Monday to obtain the Road Worthiness Certificate, not sure if the car will pass the various computerized tests.
While driving to work earlier, my wife reminded me that the engine was overdue for service and I should try to get the mechanic to do it.
Even for some days now, the car has not been starting well as it should when I start the engine.
On Sunday while driving to Church, she said she noticed that something may be wrong with the steering as the car was unstable on the road.
The bad stretch of the road out of the street to our house had also had some impact on the car with the cracking noise when we drive through.
Despite all the worry about the state of the car, I had to take it for the inspection as the last certificate expired last Friday.
While waiting for the result of the test, some other car owners got their results indicating that their cars failed and needed to fix the what was wrong and return another day for another inspection.
Some of the cars that were said have failed the tests looked better than mine in appearance. I was already expecting a failed result when my name was called and handed a Passed result.
The only thing said to to be a minor defect was Side light not working which I can fix without needing to come back for my Roadworthiness certificate.
The above experience reminded me of how we sometimes write ourselves off because of the various things we think are wrong with us.
We sometimes think we are not good enough for some opportunities and cannot be successful in some rigorous process required for some positions and opportunities we desire.
This week, I urge you to be positive and hopeful about the outcome of any result or outcome you are expecting.
After doing your best in whatever situation you find yourself, don’t assume that the limitations you think you have will count against you.
As Proverbs 3: 5&6 states: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
